The Snazzy Standoff

Right there in the middle of the forest were two gecko’s staring right into each other’s eyes, Sam, and Dj Khaled. Both want to be the alpha males of the forest and impress Felicia, the hottest gecko in the west. The loser of the battle would be stuck with the ugliest gecko in the east Gertrude. The battle started, Sam was the aggressor by pouncing on top of Dj Khaled but Dj Khaled wasn’t going to let that slide so Dj Khaled kick him square in the dome of is gargantuan forehead knocking him out cold. It was over in the blink of an eye. Dj Khaled came out on top. It wasn’t surprising that he won Felicia because Dj Khaled’s pull game is insane. Sam was so sad and especially embarrassed, he just humiliated himself in front of his dream gecko. Luckily though in the later years both couples were happy. It was a sad ending but in the end it worked out for everybody.

A Thankful Thanksgiving

I am thankful for many things, but here are the top three things. The first thing I am thankful for is our freedom in our country. There are so many third world country’s that have people that can barely survive off of the little they have but here in America we have so much that we take for granted here that we should be more appreciative for. The second thing I am thankful for is my family and friends. I would be so lonely and sad if it weren’t for them. They help me in so many ways I am so thankful for that. The third and final thing I am the most thankful for is my pets. They are so cute, friendly, and funny I don’t know what I would do without them.

Wizardly Wishes

I have been given three wishes. My first thought is, “WOW THIS IS GREAT.” The first thing I would wish would be every single superpower ever. When I say every superpower, I mean EVERY superpower. Any superpower you can think of, I would have it. Even new ones! I could create superpowers of my own. That would be my first wish. For my second wish I would stop animal abuse. Animal testing, animal abuse, animal depression, everything. The only thing that would be okay is hunting, but no over hunting. Everyone would take care of animals and they would all be happy and healthy. For my third and final wish I would wish for everyone to make good decisions. What I mean by this is no one would bully people, no one would steal, everything like that. Almost like world peace but better.

Rad Reading – October

In October, I read the book Two Degrees by Alan Gratz. Two Degrees is a book about a boy named Owen and his friend George who live in Churchill, an isolated area in the snowy tundra. One day they were going to George’s house on their snowmobile when they had to pee. They got off of the snow mobile and right when they’re done peeing they get attacked my a polar bear. They eventually get out of that area then get out of the snowmobile to rest for a minute on an ice lake as they had just been brutally attacked by a polar bear. While they’re resting they encounter another polar bear, but this time they have their shotgun with them. CRACK!!!!!! They fire the cracker shell and the polar bear gets startled causing the polar bear and their snowmobile to fall through the ice on the frozen lake. Now they are stranded miles away from the town where they desperately need medical attention. Once they start making their way to the town they get stalked by ANOTHER polar bear. With no way to contact anyone to save them will they get medical attention at the town or die out in the cold tundra?

I loved this book so much, as soon as I was done reading the first chapter I new I was hooked. It was so realistic and interesting, I also loved how much suspense was built up in the book. I would stay up reading a hundred pages at once some nights with my core tight every second. I would highly recommend this book to pretty much anyone. In a way it has every genre of reading in the book. If you get a chance to read or buy Two Degrees I would definitely recommend doing so.

My favorite characters from the book were Owen and George. The reason they were my favorite characters was because they were loyal. A quote from the book that supports this claim is when Owen says, “‘So, we don’t need to tell anybody that I freaked out when I fell into an empty polar bear den. Right?’ said Owen. ‘Listen,’ said George. ‘What happens in the Arctic stays in the Arctic.'” (Pg 163) This shows that they are both good friends and loyal to each other considering they respect each other and their wishes.

My favorite quote from the book is on page 163, when George states “‘Listen,’ said George. ‘What happens in the Arctic, stays in the Arctic.’” The reason I like this quote so much, is because it shows how loyal they are to each other and how strong their friendship is. I also feel it sums up everything in a way that symbolizes them and what’s happened.
